Can a non-EU company register as a VAT payer in Poland?
Yes. Non-EU companies can register for Polish VAT.
How long does it take to obtain (register) a NIP or VAT number?
Typically 2 to 5 business days, depending on the workload of the tax authority. However, we always strive to expedite the process. For non-EU companies, the process may take slightly longer due to document apostille requirements — typically 2–3 weeks in total.
Is it possible to register as a VAT payer without personal presence?
Yes, in most cases the process can be completed remotely via a power of attorney
We import goods through Poland and sell to buyers in EU countries. Do we need Polish VAT?
Yes — this is one of the most common scenarios we handle. If your goods enter the EU through Poland and you sell to EU buyers, Polish VAT registration is required. It also allows you to issue proper VAT invoices to your EU customers and recover import VAT.
